Civil Engineering Instructor (Level I)

About the role

AL TAIF seeks a qualified Civil Engineering Instructor (Level I) to deliver classroom and workshop training for the UAE Armed Forces. The role supports the Technical Training School by ensuring high graduation rates and maintaining training standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce safety and security policies throughout training activities.
• Advise the Chief Instructor on course development, delivery, and student performance.
• Deliver civil engineering theory and hands‑on workshop sessions.
• Design, develop, and continuously improve lesson plans, handouts, and PowerPoint materials.
• Utilize coaching and remedial methods to maximize test scores and graduation rates.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and computers in proper condition.
• Attend relevant conferences and workshops to stay current with instructional techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum four years of experience teaching engineering or construction subjects.
• At least two years of military experience is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driver’s license (or ability to obtain one).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) or ISO 10015.
