Civil Engineering Manager

About the role

The Civil Engineering Manager provides part‑time, remote technical leadership for infrastructure and stormwater projects, supporting RBH hosts and their client businesses. The role focuses on sustainable, regulatory‑aligned design and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and advise on civil engineering aspects of projects, including site infrastructure, drainage, and stormwater systems.
• Coordinate project timelines and support the design and evaluation of infrastructure concepts.
• Lead virtual project meetings, review documentation and inspection reports, and advise on risk mitigation.
• Prepare concise technical summaries for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with international partners.
• Contribute to tools, guidelines, and training materials for responsible infrastructure planning.

Required profile

• Demonstrated project management skills for multi‑stakeholder civil infrastructure initiatives.
• Technical expertise in stormwater management and sustainable, resilient infrastructure design.
• Proven team‑leadership abilities, including mentoring and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience with inspection, assessment, documentation, compliance checks, and quality assurance of civil works.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional licensure or certification is a plus.
• Experience on international or multi‑country projects, preferably in emerging markets or development cooperation.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Comfort working part‑time in a fully remote environment, managing time zones and virtual collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards, environmental regulations, or corporate due‑diligence frameworks.
