Civil Inspector – Construction Quality Management

About the role

Dar is looking for a Civil Inspector to lead civil, structural and infrastructure inspections on construction projects, ensuring compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance program and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, prepare detailed reports and verify documentation against regulations and standards.
• Review and approve inspection checklists and frequencies in coordination with the Project Manager or Resident Engineer.
• Issue completed inspection checklists, reports and recommendations for record‑keeping and performance review.
• Ensure safe working practices, including compliance with permits‑to‑work and Dar Standard Operating Procedures for contractors and subcontractors.
• Raise non‑conformance notices, site inspection notices and identify quality deficiencies together with the Resident Engineer.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, preferably on building, mall or airport projects.
