Civil Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a diligent Civil Inspector to join its expanding team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities meet all applicable codes, standards, and specifications while supporting project quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, and compression.
• Perform destructive and non‑destructive testing on metals and other materials (magnaflex, dye‑penetrant, radiographic, tension/compression, paint thickness, resistivity).
• Inspect underground piping, piling installation, and verify piping systems through P&ID checks and pressure tests.
• Monitor electrical installations for proper grounding and circuit integrity.
• Oversee painting and insulation work to ensure required thickness and coverage.
• Document non‑conformances, contribute to quality control reports, and assist in safety reporting.
• Administer welder qualification tests when required.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel to and work on field sites.
• Experience with construction inspection and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
