Civil Inspector – Micro‑tunneling Works

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to oversee micro‑tunneling, pipe jacking and related civil works. You will ensure that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor micro‑tunneling, pipe jacking, shaft construction and associated civil works.
• Verify excavation, tunneling operations, pipe installation, grouting, backfilling and reinstatement works.
• Witness and document inspections, testing and quality‑control activities according to approved inspection and test plans.
• Monitor line and level control, alignment, pipe jointing, lubrication systems and tunneling parameters during micro‑tunneling operations.
• Identify non‑conforming work, coordinate corrective actions and maintain daily inspection reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, surveyors and utility stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering or construction‑related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising micro‑tunneling, pipe jacking or trenchless technology projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
