Civil Inspector (Structural)

About the role

KEO, an award-winning AEP/PMCM firm and one of the top international design firms, is looking for a Civil Inspector to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The role covers inspection requests, shop drawing review, quality monitoring and reporting of site deficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to inspection requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practice.
• Report works carried out by the contractor that do not comply with approved drawings and specifications to stakeholders.
• Monitor the quality of works and assess site safety, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual and QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Maintain daily site records, including progress photos, and make them available for inspection when required.
• Prepare surveillance reports on work deficiencies and non-conformance reports (NCR) as events develop.
• Check coordination between discipline-related works and provide technical input to resolve on-site issues.

Required profile

• 5 years of work experience.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
