Civil Planning Manager

About the role

The Civil Planning Manager leads the development, monitoring and optimisation of the master project schedule for high‑rise civil works. You will ensure that sub‑structure and super‑structure activities progress in a lean, efficient sequence, meeting delivery milestones while managing resource constraints unique to vertical construction.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain the baseline schedule using Primavera P6 or MS Project, focusing on high‑rise cyclic construction.
• Coordinate vertical logistics, optimising tower cranes, hoists and concrete pumps to avoid bottlenecks.
• Manage civil sequence from deep foundations and basements through floor cycles, maximising slipform or jumpform systems.
• Perform Earned Value Management, prepare S‑Curves and manpower histograms, and analyse productivity rates for rebar, shuttering and concrete works.
• Identify potential delays early, develop catch‑up plans and conduct forensic delay analysis for EOT claims.
• Align schedules of MEP and finishing subcontractors with civil structural milestones to minimise stand‑by time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years of experience in civil planning, with at least 10 years on towers/high‑rise projects (minimum G+40).
• Deep understanding of cycle‑time analysis and Line of Balance (LOB) scheduling.
