Civil Site Supervisor - Overhead Line Construction

About the role

Zutari, an engineering firm with almost 90 years of experience and a management ownership, is seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to oversee overhead line construction activities. The successful candidate will supervise site works, monitor safety and quality compliance, and make sure construction progress meets project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily overhead line construction works on site and monitor progress on foundations, structure erection and completion.
• Ensure contractors comply with approved drawings, specifications and construction procedures.
• Review site progress and identify risks, delays or non-conformances.
• Oversee excavation, concrete works, backfilling, compaction, support structure assembly and erection, and monitor critical quality aspects.
• Uphold health and safety compliance for personnel, plant and lifting activities.
• Maintain daily site records and contribute to weekly progress reports.
• Ensure activities meet the project schedule and coordinate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Verify quantities, site records and completed works for reporting and certification, and support inspections, testing, commissioning preparation and handover.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a civil supervision role on overhead line or transmission line projects.
• Strong understanding of line construction activities, quality control and site safety requirements.
• Strong reporting, communication and coordination skills.
