Civil Site Supervisor - Substation Works

About the role

Zutari, an engineering firm with almost 90 years of experience, is seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to oversee civil construction activities for substation works on a High Voltage Project. The role focuses on supervising daily site activities, monitoring contractor performance, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and supporting safe, high-quality project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily substation civil works on site and monitor contractor workmanship, progress and compliance with project requirements.
• Review site progress and identify risks, delays or non-conformances, and ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Verify quality control practices, including inspections and testing of civil works.
• Uphold site health and safety requirements and maintain daily site records and weekly progress reports.
• Ensure construction meets project schedule requirements and coordinate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Verify quantities, site records and completed works for reporting and certification, and support inspections, testing, commissioning preparation and handover.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a civil supervision role on substation projects.
• Good understanding of civil quality control, HSE compliance and contractor supervision.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
