Clinical Psychologist – Full‑Time, Sharjah

About the role

The Clinical Psychologist will join NMC Healthcare in Sharjah to deliver comprehensive mental‑health services across individual, group, family and couple settings. The role involves assessment, therapy, and collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams to support patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric interviews and collect diagnostic data.
• Provide individual, group, family and couples psychotherapy, including marital counseling.
• Apply behavioral methods for children and adults, planning therapy frequency, intensity and duration.
• Perform psychometric testing for diagnosis and therapy evaluation.
• Engage in research and educational activities to improve treatment methods.
• Stay updated on personality development, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental disorders.
• Advise community organisations and participate in psychological and welfare initiatives.
• Respond to after‑hours or weekend calls for emergencies or specific cases.
• Follow DHA regulations, Joint Commission International norms and other international guidelines.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Chief Psychiatrist.

Required profile

• Commitment to adhere to DHA regulations and Joint Commission International standards.
• Willingness to be on call for after‑hours or weekend emergencies.
