Clinical Social Worker – Special Needs & Arabic

About the role

The Clinical Social Worker will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and interventions for patients, families, and caregivers, focusing on special needs and Arabic‑speaking populations. The role involves coordinating care plans, advocating for patients, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive person‑centered psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate delivery of social care plans with government agencies, charities, and community resources.
• Advocate for patients’ wishes and rights throughout the care continuum, including discharge planning.
• Manage caseload prioritization, workload allocation, and supervision of junior staff.
• Provide crisis interventions, psycho‑education, and therapeutic support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards, including mental health legislation.
• Liaise with external agencies, maintain professional relationships, and facilitate access to resources.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with JCI and hospital policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support staff wellbeing, report safeguarding concerns, and contribute to research and professional development activities.
