Cluster Manager (Primary Year Leader) – Year 2/3

About the role

The school seeks an experienced Primary Teacher or Year Leader to serve as Cluster Manager for a Year 2 or Year 3 cohort. You will both teach a class and lead a small team of teachers to raise achievement across the year group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cluster of 3‑5 teachers, ensuring consistent planning, teaching and assessment.
• Provide regular instructional coaching through observations, focused lesson visits, feedback and co‑planning.
• Track and analyse student progress data, focusing on priority groups to ensure very good and outstanding outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress.
• Teach a Year 2 or Year 3 class while collaborating with the Phase Leader and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a BEd, PGCE or equivalent degree.
• Proven experience raising achievement and coaching teachers on KS1 or KS2.
• Successful UK teaching experience at a primary school (KS1/KS2).
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for KS1/KS2.
• Primary Year Leader or Phase Leader experience is desirable.
