Collection Operations Officer

About the role

The Collection Operations Officer supports First Abu Dhabi Bank in managing legal and collection cases across multiple jurisdictions. The role ensures timely coordination with law firms, maintains accurate case records, and provides backup support to the collections team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with law firms for new cases assigned to ADGM court and other case types (Cheque Execution, REPO, civil cases) and update internal trackers.
• Monitor vendor performance, ensuring cases are filed within agreed turnaround times and required documents are supplied.
• Act as backup for team members during absences, handling criminal, civil, legal notice, REPO, and cheque execution matters.
• Update the legal system and flag status for all allocated cases, ensuring proper file retrieval and return.
• Handle collection‑related escalations from various channels and collaborate with Collection and Recovery teams to provide legal support.
• Attend expert meetings, review commentaries and memos, and ensure compliance with bank policies and central bank regulations.
• Participate in mandatory training and adhere to company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the banking sector, preferably in collections or legal support.
• Ability to set and achieve performance goals, identify training needs and pursue professional development.
• Strong knowledge of bank policies, central bank regulations and legal procedures.
• Excellent self‑management and customer‑service orientation.
