Commercial Contracts Support Manager – Power & Water Transmission Scheme

About the role

The Commercial Contracts Support Manager will lead contract administration, compliance, claims management and dispute resolution for the Power and Water Transmission Scheme in Abu Dhabi. This PMC role requires strategic planning, resource coordination and close collaboration with supervision consultants and EPC contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual support across all project lots and monitor contract compliance with delivery contractors and supervision consultants.
• Assist in contract negotiations, claims management and dispute resolution, preparing financial and commercial reports.
• Administer the main contract and sub‑contracts, interpret clauses and advise the project team on obligations, entitlements and risks.
• Maintain contract registers, correspondence logs and records of contractual events; manage variation instructions, change requests and compensation events.
• Lead resolution of contractual disputes through negotiation, mediation, adjudication or arbitration and prepare position papers and evidence files.
• Oversee contractual close‑out procedures, settle final accounts with EPCs and ensure all claims and variations are resolved before project hand‑over.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Law or Quantity Surveying; MRICS or equivalent certification preferred.
• 15+ years of contracts administration experience on large infrastructure programmes.
• Proven leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities in high‑pressure environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience with cost control software.
• Strong expertise in contract administration, management and negotiations.
• Ability to assess EOT and variation claim assessments/evaluations.
• Skill in preparing formal contractual responses.
