Commercial Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on a major airport infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees contract administration, cost control, variations, claims and reporting, ensuring the project meets its financial and contractual targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project commercial management strategy and procedures.
• Manage commercial performance against approved budgets, forecasts and contractual requirements.
• Interpret contract conditions, monitor compliance and control commercial risks.
• Lead preparation, review and management of budgets, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Negotiate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on variations, claims and change orders.
• Maintain registers for variations, claims and commercial correspondence and ensure timely issuance of contractual notices.
• Coordinate with finance, planning and project controls to monitor cash flow, payment applications and financial forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 13 years of commercial experience on large construction, infrastructure or airport projects.
• Proven track record in contract administration, cost control, variations, claims and negotiations.
• Professional qualification such as MRICS, RICS, CIQS or equivalent is preferred.
