About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis 1 to join the cold kitchen team at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort. The role involves preparing a variety of cold dishes, maintaining food quality, and supporting the culinary team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and manage thawing of frozen items.
Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and maintain food logs.
Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
Inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials and update F&B staff on menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as required.
Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting maintenance needs or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
Minimum three years of relevant cold‑kitchen experience.
No prior supervisory experience required.
