Commis 1 – Kitchen Assistant (Mekong)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis 1 to join the kitchen team at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort. The successful candidate will support food preparation and service across our outlets, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise‑en‑place for all food outlets as required.
• Follow food preparation and presentation guidelines to deliver consistent culinary offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all work areas, adhering to HACCP and local food‑safety regulations.
• Handle food storage, dating, rotation and proper labeling to ensure safety.
• Assist with events, banquets and other functions as needed.
• Observe personal hygiene, grooming, fire safety and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Participate in departmental training and follow checklists and cleaning schedules.

The role requires flexibility to work across different shifts and to collaborate closely with chefs, servers and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
• Basic knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
