Commis 1 – Mekong (Hotel Kitchen Assistant)

About the role

The Commis 1 – Mekong supports the culinary team at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort. You will prepare mise‑en‑place, assist in cooking and plating, and uphold the highest hygiene and safety standards in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise mise‑en‑place for all food outlets as required.
• Follow food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality.
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas, adhering to hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Implement food safety procedures, including proper storage, dating, rotation and HACCP compliance.
• Assist at events, banquets and other functions as needed.
• Follow personal hygiene, grooming, fire safety and health & safety rules.
• Participate in departmental training and uphold checklists and cleaning schedules.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation (HACCP).
• Basic knife handling skills.
