About the role
Sofitel Dubai Downtown, a 5-star luxury hotel in Downtown Dubai, is hiring a Commis 2. The role covers food preparation, plating and presentation, and works closely with the Chef de Partie on mise-en-place and kitchen organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food, plate and present dishes
- Receive and store products properly, rotating old and new stock
- Maintain and clean the kitchen while following food safety requirements
- Work with the Chef de Partie on mise-en-place production and service
- Take orders from the Chef de Partie and complete the daily checklist for mise-en-place and food storage
Required profile
- Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
- Kitchen school diploma
