Commis Chef – Food & Beverage Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis to support daily operations in the Food & Beverage department at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Working under senior chefs, you will assist with food preparation, cooking and service while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Follow instructions from senior chefs and maintain required work standards.
• Prepare, cook and serve food, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Measure ingredients and portion sizes accurately.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers and griddles.
• Clean preparation areas, utensils and equipment.
• Check food quality, quantity and presentation before service.
• Stock and restock workstations, monitor and rotate stock (FEFO).
• Assist with deliveries, storage and stock control.
• Carry out temperature checks, food labeling/dating and storage procedures.
• Minimize food waste and support cost control.
• Maintain personal hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Identify and report kitchen hazards or equipment issues.
• Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures.

Required profile

• Basic hospitality or catering training.
• Foundation degree in Culinary Arts Management or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Capability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Physical stamina and strong time‑management skills.
