Commis Chef (Level 1 & 2) – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at Novotel Hotels in Dubai as a Commis Chef (Level 1 & 2). You will support daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety while gaining experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, mise en place, and basic cooking as directed.
• Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
• Adhere to HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and proper storage procedures.
• Support the kitchen team during restaurant, banquet, buffet, and other services.
• Label, store, and rotate food products using FIFO principles.
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Comply with hotel policies, safety procedures, and grooming standards.

Required profile

• Culinary qualification or training preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Strong teamwork attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work under pressure.
