Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis I to join the culinary team at Park Rotana and Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high‑quality food preparation and maintaining hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Chef de Partie/Demi Chef de Partie with daily kitchen tasks.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place and produce food across various kitchen sections and satellite outlets.
• Follow menu specifications and recipe guidelines accurately.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in line with hotel standards.
• Control food stock, monitor waste and help manage food cost.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure consistency, cleanliness and cost control.

Required profile

• Completed professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Previous experience in reputable establishments with solid culinary fundamentals.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.
