Commis II – Kitchen Support Role

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort is seeking a Commis II to join its kitchen team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop culinary skills while supporting daily food preparation in a five‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, portioning and proper storage.
• Support mise en place and follow recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Maintain food hygiene, HACCP, cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
• Ensure proper labeling, FIFO rotation and storage of ingredients.
• Keep workstations, utensils and equipment clean, organized and in good condition.
• Report any equipment or food safety concerns to the Chef de Partie.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
