Commis II – Main Kitchen (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Commis II will support the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen team in daily food preparation for the main kitchen of Fairmont Ajman. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a 5‑star hotel environment, focusing on quality, safety and efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily food preparation and production.
• Prepare vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces and other items according to recipes.
• Support dish presentation and maintain portion control to minimise waste.
• Store, label and handle food products correctly, following HACCP and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment and storage areas.
• Receive, check and store kitchen supplies as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues.
• Assist during busy service periods to ensure smooth workflow.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or hotel environment is preferred.
• Culinary education or relevant training is an advantage.
• Good teamwork, communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to learn, attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
