Commissioning Machinery Supervisor

About the role

The Commissioning Machinery Supervisor will lead pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities for a large oil & gas plant in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Commissioning Machinery Superintendent, the role ensures all work complies with quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre‑commissioning procedures and functional test plans for machinery and packages.
• Perform field checks, prepare punch lists, and expedite closure of pending items.
• Monitor activities to ensure adherence to procedures, safety rules, and project requirements.
• Supervise vendor specialists and subcontractor teams, ensuring efficient utilization and compliance with plant safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs, produce certification documents, and support ongoing maintenance of plant units.
• Act as authorized permit‑to‑work holder when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction of large oil & gas EPC projects.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team‑oriented skills.
