Commissioning Superintendent Electrical

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent Electrical to lead on‑site commissioning activities for a major EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the electrical commissioning of gas and condensate facilities, ensuring compliance with licensor and vendor procedures, and delivering the project on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with licensor and vendor teams to monitor commissioning activities.
• Manage progress of electrical commissioning for sales gas and condensate areas.
• Review and approve pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures and manuals.
• Verify mechanical completion certificates for systems and subsystems.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting meetings.
• Confirm readiness for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Approve punch‑list close‑out and ensure handover complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 18 years of commissioning/operation readiness experience, preferably in the GCC.
• At least 5 years in a similar senior role on oil & gas or petrochemical EPC projects.
• Experience with sour‑gas, hydrogen production, or hydro‑desulfurization projects is preferred.
