Commodity Manager – Indirect & Logistics

About the role

The Indirect & Logistics Commodity Manager will lead the development and execution of category strategies for indirect spend and transportation services, overseeing a spend portfolio of $20‑40 million. This regional role supports the Americas while collaborating with global procurement teams to drive cost savings, operational efficiency and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead cross‑functional category teams to create and maintain strategies for ocean, air and parcel transportation.
• Develop and implement sourcing, negotiation and contracting approaches aligned with category strategies.
• Analyse historical spend data, market research and cost models to identify high‑value opportunities.
• Build total landed cost and total cost of ownership models in partnership with stakeholders.
• Manage preferred supplier programs to ensure business continuity, performance and best pricing.
• Support global indirect procurement associates in a matrixed environment.
• Provide leadership and relationship building across the organization to deliver strategic and financial value.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or logistics operations.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CLTD, CSCP or PMP are preferred.
• Experience in sourcing, negotiating and contracting for indirect and transportation services.
• Proven track record of leading logistics cost‑reduction or continuous‑improvement projects.
