Communications Manager – United Arab Emirates

About the role

The Communications Manager for the United Arab Emirates supports the Public Affairs Officer in enhancing and protecting Citi’s reputation in this key Middle‑East market. Reporting to the Head of Communications for Middle East and Pakistan, the role leads external and internal communications initiatives across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute external communications strategy, manage media relations, and create briefing materials for senior executives.
• Lead internal engagement plans, manage communication channels, and organise employee events.
• Assess reputation risk, support crisis management, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Support volunteering programmes and partnerships with NGOs.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in communications or public relations, preferably in‑house or agency.
• Proven track record in media relations, stakeholder engagement and content creation.
• Strong leadership, planning and project management abilities.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Content creation for internal and external audiences.
• Social media content development and familiarity with major platforms.
• Excellent editing, writing and digital communication skills.
