Community Nurse (Western-trained)

About the role

A prestigious healthcare provider in Dubai is looking for a compassionate, experienced Community Nurse to deliver patient-centred care in home and community settings. The role suits Western-trained nurses who want to provide holistic care, manage chronic diseases and support patients outside the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in patients' homes, including post-operative care, wound care, medication administration and chronic disease support
• Assess patients comprehensively and build individualised care plans with the wider healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, self-care and health maintenance
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to physicians or care coordinators
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with local health regulations and organisational policies
• Promote health and wellness through community outreach, education and preventative care
• Support palliative and end-of-life care as needed
• Ensure infection control, patient safety and best practice in all care

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a Western-accredited institution (e.g. UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa)
• At least 2 years of recent experience in community health, home care or a hospital setting
• DHA (Dubai Health Authority) licence or eligibility letter
• Valid driver's licence (UAE or convertible) preferred because the role is mobile
• Willingness to work in Dubai

Required skills

• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
• Empathy, cultural sensitivity and a patient-first approach
