Compliance Officer, MENA

About the role

Stryker is looking for a senior Compliance Officer to join its Compliance organization and shape and oversee the compliance program across the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA). The role is hybrid, based in Dubai, and involves translating global compliance strategy into locally relevant programs while strengthening a culture of integrity across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the MENA compliance strategy, adapting global initiatives to local business, legal, regulatory and market requirements.
• Partner with senior leadership and Compliance Committees to set the tone from the top, identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation actions.
• Translate complex compliance matters into clear guidance for business stakeholders.
• Design and implement compliance programs covering laws, regulations, industry standards and business requirements.
• Lead the development of policies, guidance and education on ethics, integrity and accountability.
• Oversee compliance controls, including written standards, training, auditing and monitoring, third-party oversight and corrective actions.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations and business strategy and report regularly to Compliance leadership.
• Lead regional projects and collaborate on wider EMEA initiatives; take part in industry associations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law, compliance, business administration, finance, risk management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management or a similar field in a related industry or highly regulated environment.
• Experience in a multinational setting and at least 2 years in a strategic or leadership position.
• Experience designing and implementing compliance programs across diverse business functions.
• Professional fluency in English; Arabic is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of compliance programs, relevant laws, regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Preferred: experience with MedTech compliance, Mecomed codes and other industry standards.
