Computer Science ICT Teacher - Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Education, a leading education group in Abu Dhabi with schools from nursery through adult education, is looking for a Computer Science teacher to join its growing family of schools immediately. The role centres on delivering lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieving the best possible outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan engaging lessons with colleagues and adapt them to the needs of the whole class
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, and create displays that encourage engagement
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching and observe and assess children in line with school assessments
• Use assessment data to inform further planning, provision and intervention, and record progress in Target Tracker
• Give feedback to parents and carers on progress at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings
• Follow the school's behaviour policy, manage classes effectively and act as a positive role model
• Work with curriculum support staff, and meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists where required
• Embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum
• Take part in curriculum action groups, school events and activities, and run a weekly ECA each term

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience
• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
• Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of position, gender, age and ethnic background
