Configuration and Requirements Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Configuration and Requirements Manager to lead the development and implementation of requirements and configuration management processes for a major railway project. The role ensures accurate capture, structuring, and control of all project requirements, maintaining configuration integrity and traceability across deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a Requirements and Configuration Management Plan aligned with client and project specifications.
• Lead systems engineering activities following ISO/IEC 15288 and relevant industry standards.
• Establish and manage requirements processes, including elicitation, derivation, allocation, and traceability of SMART requirements.
• Maintain the requirements management system (e.g., DOORS, DNG, ComplyPro) and create a Requirements Traceability Matrix for all project stages.
• Oversee configuration management, defining baselines, version control, and change control procedures.
• Conduct configuration audits and compliance reviews to ensure alignment with EN 50126/28/29 standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to verify that requirements are understood, implemented, and validated.
• Provide technical guidance and training on requirements and configuration tools and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in requirements and configuration management for complex engineering projects, preferably in rail or transportation infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering standards and railway safety standards.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to facilitate stakeholder workshops and reviews.
