Construction Manager

About the role

BUTEC is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead complex construction projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for optimizing resources, mentoring engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and planning engineer in preparing project plans and reviewing progress against schedules.
• Review and verify drawings, specifications, method statements, and material data sheets.
• Identify design issues or documentation discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Define and organize work fronts, prioritize on‑site activities, and direct the construction team for cost‑effective execution.
• Set, monitor, and adjust productivity rates and operational targets.
• Forecast and secure required resources (people, materials, equipment, tools) and manage their allocation.
• Supervise daily execution of work, coordinate with the quality team, and review QA/QC reports.
• Lead regular meetings to resolve deficiencies and ensure compliance with designs, specifications, and standards.
• Investigate damages, incidents, or delays and develop mitigation plans to protect project profitability.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in substation and large‑scale construction projects.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead multidisciplinary teams.
