Construction Manager – Project Management Consultant (PMC)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join AECOM’s Project Management Consultant (PMC) team in Abu Dhabi. The role will lead the planning, execution and delivery of a mixed‑use development, ensuring the project meets schedule, budget and quality targets while complying with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of mixed‑use construction from pre‑construction planning through final handover.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, construction teams and vendors to ensure efficient execution.
• Monitor progress against timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits and ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports and stakeholder updates.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of construction management experience on large‑scale or mixed‑use projects.
• Proven experience as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) or in a similar advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, regulations and building standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
