Construction Manager – PV

About the role

The Site Manager - Electrical (PV) will be responsible for managing and supervising all electrical installations and activities at the solar PV site, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical works on‑site, including installation of PV modules, inverters, transformers, cabling and switchgear, ensuring they follow the project plan and specifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all electrical‑related activities, coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Implement rigorous quality‑control measures, conduct regular inspections and tests, and address any non‑conformities promptly.
• Enforce a strict safety culture, conduct safety briefings and ensure all team members and subcontractors adhere to health, safety and environmental protocols.
• Track progress against the project schedule, identify delays or deviations and apply corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot installation and commissioning issues, and work closely with the engineering team to resolve them.
• Monitor and control costs associated with electrical works, ensuring activities stay within the allocated budget and identifying cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality.
