Construction Manager – Site Supervision & Coordination

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead on‑site activities for NMDC Dredging and Marine, ensuring that all construction work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. This role combines hands‑on supervision with strategic planning to drive project success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
• Manage on‑site supervision, coordination, and execution of both self‑performed and contracted work.
• Ensure construction activities align with drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and quality requirements.
• Control project schedule and cost through efficient use of resources and contractors.
• Oversee development of project schedules with engineers and contractors, maintaining short‑range planning down to the foreman level.
• Review design for constructability and recommend changes.
• Determine and monitor manpower levels to meet milestones.
• Track productivity and cost, implementing actions to maintain labor efficiency.
• Manage scope changes, documenting and approving change orders before work begins.
• Administer labor relations policies and maintain client relations on site.
• Plan and manage temporary facilities, equipment use, and tool supply.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction management, preferably in marine or dredging projects.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate diverse teams.
• Excellent understanding of safety standards and quality control processes.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with contractors, engineers, and clients.
