Consultant Anaesthesiologist

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is hiring an experienced Consultant Anaesthesiologist / Consultant Anaesthetist in the UAE to join a multidisciplinary clinical team and provide specialist anaesthesia care. The role combines senior clinical practice with medical education, postgraduate training, research and clinical leadership in a sophisticated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level anaesthesia and perioperative care, including pre-operative assessment and optimisation of patients.
• Support safe anaesthetic management across elective and emergency procedures.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams and uphold patient safety, clinical governance and professional practice.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audit, service development and the creation of clinical guidelines, pathways and standards.
• Lead or support anaesthesia residency education, including curriculum development, bedside teaching, supervision and mentoring of residents and trainees.
• Take part in research, peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, clinical audit and evidence-based guideline development.

Required profile

• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology / Anaesthesia and consultant-level clinical experience.
• Strong experience in a tertiary, academic or teaching hospital setting.
• Demonstrable experience teaching doctors, residents or other healthcare professionals and contributing to postgraduate education or residency training.
• Evidence of research, publications, presentations or other scholarly activity.
• Experience in an international academic medical centre, university hospital or major tertiary organisation is advantageous; UAE or GCC experience is beneficial but not required.
