Consultant Critical Care Medicine – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Critical Care Medicine Physician (Intensivist) to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. This role offers a competitive salary, career advancement, and a modern intensive care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Perform and supervise critical care procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterisation, arterial line placement and invasive monitoring.
• Manage patients with sepsis, septic shock, ARDS, multiorgan dysfunction and post‑surgical or trauma emergencies.
• Oversee advanced haemodynamic support, vasoactive medication therapy and renal replacement therapy in collaboration with nephrology.
• Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds, coordinate care with specialists and ensure adherence to ICU protocols and infection control.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent with recognised postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine.
• 5‑10+ years post‑specialisation experience in a tertiary‑care ICU setting.
• Board certification or equivalent consultant‑level qualification (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, etc.).
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licence in Dubai.
• Strong clinical judgement, leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced airway management and mechanical ventilation.
• Invasive haemodynamic monitoring and central line placement.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Renal replacement therapy coordination.
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases, ECG, chest imaging and bedside ultrasound.
