Consultant Critical Care Physician (ICU) – Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Critical Care / ICU Physician to join a leading hospital in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering expert care to critically ill patients within a state‑of‑the‑art intensive care unit, while upholding the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for patients in the ICU.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage complex emergencies, including ventilator support, sepsis, organ failure and other critical care procedures.
• Conduct daily ICU rounds and supervise junior physicians, nurses and allied health staff.
• Participate in on‑call duties and emergency consultations as required.
• Maintain accurate medical records in line with hospital regulations.
• Stay current with advancements in critical care and engage in CME activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of consultant‑level ICU experience, preferably Western‑trained.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
