Consultant Gastroenterologist (Female) - Dubai

About the role

A multidisciplinary healthcare team in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and experienced female Consultant Gastroenterologist. The role involves diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and digestive disorders while delivering patient-centred care in line with international medical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas and gallbladder
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians and internal medicine specialists
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with DHA regulations and hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care and lifestyle changes
• Take part in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
• Supervise junior medical staff when required

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DHA
• Board certification or fellowship in Gastroenterology
• DHA license or DHA eligibility letter as Consultant Gastroenterologist
• Minimum 5-7 years of post-specialization experience in a reputable hospital or healthcare facility
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Hindi is an advantage

Required skills

• Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
• Preferred: experience with IBS, IBD, GERD, liver disease and hepatology cases
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and patient-focused clinical judgment
