Consultant General & Trauma Surgeon

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant General & Trauma Surgeon to join our surgical team at SKMCA in Ajman. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical care, managing trauma cases, and upholding the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures, including emergency trauma interventions.
• Provide pre‑operative consultation, postoperative follow‑up, and ongoing patient management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in training, education, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in line with SKMCA policies and international standards.
• Engage in research activities and contribute to teaching programs.

Required profile

• Medical degree with recognized specialty certification in General Surgery.
• Additional certification in Trauma Surgery.
• Valid UAE medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum five years of post‑specialisation experience in General and Trauma Surgery.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing general and trauma surgical procedures.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety protocols and clinical guidelines.
