Consultant Interventional Radiologist (UAE)

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its minimally invasive, image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic services. The organization seeks a highly skilled Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team and serve a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Perform image‑guided vascular and non‑vascular interventions using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and angiography.
• Assess patients, obtain informed consent, plan procedures and manage peri‑procedural risks.
• Carry out biopsies, drainages, embolisation, angioplasty, stenting and venous access according to clinical privileges.
• Interpret imaging findings and collaborate with surgery, oncology, nephrology, emergency and critical‑care teams.
• Maintain radiation safety, sterile technique, procedural documentation and monitor complications.
• Contribute to service development, multidisciplinary meetings and clinical governance.

Required profile

• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Radiology with IR/DR, UK CCT/FRCR, European Board, Canadian Royal College, Australian FRANZCR, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS).
• Eligibility for UAE licensing and facility credentialing.
• Experience in a consultant‑level interventional radiology role.
