Consultant – Knowledge Management & Communications

About the role

The Consultant will support knowledge management and communications for IFRC’s climate resilience initiatives, including the Global Climate Resilience Platform and the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance. The role is positioned within the Disasters, Climate and Crises Department of the NSDOC Division and works closely with the Climate & Resilience team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement knowledge‑sharing strategies for climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
• Create and disseminate communication materials such as briefs, reports, and web content.
• Coordinate information flows with partner organisations, including the Zurich Foundation and its network of NGOs and research institutes.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and learning activities for climate resilience projects.
• Facilitate internal and external stakeholder engagement to promote best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in knowledge management or communications within humanitarian or climate‑related contexts.
• Understanding of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
• Ability to work effectively with multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
• Strong writing and editing skills in English.
