Consultant Nephrologist – Full‑time – Sharjah, UAE

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its nephrology services and seeks a Consultant Nephrologist to join a multidisciplinary team. The role offers exposure to a diverse international patient base in a modern, quality‑driven hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases, electrolyte disorders and hypertension.
• Provide long‑term care for patients with chronic kidney disease, including dialysis and renal replacement therapy.
• Assess candidates for kidney transplantation and coordinate care with transplant teams.
• Perform or supervise renal procedures within clinical privileges.
• Interpret renal function tests, urinalysis, imaging and other diagnostic investigations.
• Collaborate with cardiology, endocrinology, urology, critical care and vascular surgery specialties.
• Participate in clinical audits, multidisciplinary meetings and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent specialist qualification in Nephrology (e.g., US Board, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, Royal College, Canadian, Australian, Arab Board, DM/DNB/FCPS).
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and facility credentialing.
• Experience in a tertiary‑care or academic hospital setting is preferred.
