Consultant Neurologist – Epilepsy, MS, Stroke

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Neurologist to join a leading tertiary hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on the management of epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and stroke patients, with a particular emphasis on seizure disorders and advanced neuro‑physiological monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist outpatient and inpatient neurological care, including diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, MS and stroke.
• Lead and supervise the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), interpreting EEG studies and managing complex seizure cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and ensure high‑quality clinical outcomes.
• Participate in teaching, mentorship and clinical research initiatives within the department.

Required profile

• Recognised medical degree with specialist qualification (e.g., CCT/CESR – UK, CCST – Ireland, FACHARZT – Germany, Saudi Board, ABMS, etc.).
• Minimum two years of post‑qualification experience as a neurologist.
• Eligibility for licensing through the UAE Department of Health.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in epilepsy and seizure disorders, preferably with EMU experience.

Required skills

• Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) operation and EEG interpretation.
• Clinical Neurophysiology.
