Consultant Neurosurgeon (Intracranial)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon specialized in intracranial procedures to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering expert surgical and clinical care for patients with complex brain conditions in a tertiary care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation, diagnosis, and management of intracranial neurological conditions.
• Perform complex intracranial surgical procedures and other cranial interventions.
• Manage patients with brain tumors, intracranial hemorrhage, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, and related neurosurgical conditions.
• Determine appropriate surgical versus non‑surgical management plans and oversee pre‑operative assessment, surgical planning, and post‑operative care.
• Collaborate with neurology, oncology, radiology, ICU, and rehabilitation teams.
• Participate in clinical discussions, tumor boards, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
• Support the development and growth of neurosurgical services within the organization.

Required profile

• Medical degree with recognized specialist qualification in Neurosurgery.
• Eligibility to obtain a Consultant licence with the Dubai Health Authority.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification in Neurosurgery.
• Extensive experience in intracranial neurosurgery and managing complex cranial cases independently.
• Experience in a tertiary care hospital or advanced neuroscience centre is preferred.
