Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecology in Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. This position offers an attractive tax‑free salary, excellent career advancement opportunities, and a supportive, internationally diverse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment and management of obstetric and gynecological conditions.
• Deliver antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for routine and high‑risk pregnancies, including management of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, multiple pregnancies and other maternal complications.
• Perform normal vaginal deliveries, assisted deliveries and cesarean sections, as well as gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomy, myomectomy, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
• Conduct gynecological examinations, cervical screening, infertility assessments and reproductive health counseling.
• Interpret pelvic and obstetric ultrasound, laboratory investigations and fetal monitoring results.
• Manage obstetric emergencies, supervise junior staff and participate in clinical audits, research and teaching activities.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree with a postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Board certification or equivalent consultant‑level qualification (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European or other internationally recognized).
• Minimum 5‑10 years post‑specialisation experience, strong clinical background in high‑risk obstetrics and gynecological surgery.
• Eligibility for DOH Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecology licensing in Abu Dhabi (subject to UAE PQR requirements).
• Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
