Consultant Orthopedic Surgery

About the role

A full-time, on-site Consultant Orthopedic Surgery position in Dubai. The consultant provides expert clinical care in orthopedic surgery, assessing, diagnosing and managing patients with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency orthopedic procedures
• Conduct outpatient clinics
• Review diagnostic tests and imaging
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with other healthcare professionals
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to clinical training and education
• Take part in case discussions and morbidity meetings
• Adhere to local regulatory and hospital guidelines, engage in quality improvement, keep accurate medical records and support evidence-based practice

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree with completed specialty training in orthopedic surgery and board certification or equivalent
• Valid or eligibility for medical licensure in the United Arab Emirates
• Experience working with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage acute presentations and trauma cases, with exposure to emergency medicine in orthopedic or surgical settings
• Sufficient background in cardiology to understand perioperative cardiac risk and work with cardiology specialists
• Commitment to mentoring and supervising junior doctors, residents and other clinical staff
• Ability to work in diverse, multicultural environments with a patient-focused, ethical approach
