Consultant Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) – Dubai

About the role

A leading private hospital in Dubai is recruiting a Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care to head its state‑of‑the‑art PICU. You will be responsible for delivering life‑saving care to critically ill children and guiding a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside management for high‑acuity pediatric patients.
• Perform advanced procedures such as mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals to design individualized treatment plans.
• Mentor junior physicians and contribute to clinical education programmes.
• Lead quality‑improvement projects and ensure compliance with international care standards.
• Participate in clinical research and stay abreast of PICU advancements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Western training (USA, UK, Canada or equivalent) and 3‑5 years post‑board experience in a consultant PICU role.
• Strong leadership, communication and family‑centred care philosophy.
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure.
