Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist to join a leading hospital in Dubai. The role involves delivering expert diagnosis, treatment and long‑term management of kidney and urinary tract disorders in infants, children and adolescents while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of paediatric kidney conditions, including CAKUT, nephrotic and nephritic syndromes, AKI, CKD, hypertension and electrolyte disturbances.
• Oversee paediatric dialysis programmes (peritoneal and haemodialysis) and assess children for renal replacement therapy.
• Coordinate renal transplant evaluations and provide comprehensive post‑transplant follow‑up.
• Interpret renal imaging, kidney biopsy results and specialised laboratory investigations.
• Collaborate with urologists, intensivists, endocrinologists, radiologists and transplant teams.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, nutrition and medication.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in audits, teaching and research.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed paediatric specialty training.
• Fellowship or board certification in Paediatric Nephrology (American Board, Royal College or equivalent).
• Minimum five years post‑specialisation experience in a tertiary or academic setting.
• Western‑trained education or clinical experience (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or equivalent).
• Valid DHA, DOH or MOH Consultant licence.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills.
